Phone Theft Alert: LITE

Phone Theft Alert: LITE (PTA) is a phone security alert app. It detects any unintended touch, theft, or charger disconnect action. It raises an alarm and alerts the phone owner of the incident through playing Sound and Flashlight blinking. The core features of the app are:1. Intruder Detection: The app supports two ways to sense the touch or theft action. First method is by sensing the motion of the phone. In this, when app is started, it detects for any changes in the motion which will be the case when someone touches the phone. The second method is by sensing the charger connect/disconnect sensing. In this case if the phone has been kept in charging mode, when the intruder tries to take away the phone, as the charging will be discontinued the alarm will trigger.2. Alerting the Phone Owner:After the trigger the next function is to alert the user. In the use case when the phone owner is in nearby of the phone. The PTA alerts the owner by blinking flashlight and playing siren sound. The visual and audio alert catches attention of the owner and hence is alerted.Additional Salient Features of the APP.1. Easy to usePTA is very simple to use and require mimalistic settings. It works out of the box. This means, the default sensing settings are suitable for most of the phones. The user doesnt have to do any setting. The use can place the phone on a stable surface and just press START.2. Works in BackgroundPTA is functionally designed such that, after starting the security alert, the PTA app can be placed in background and user can keep using other apps on phone as usual. As long as significant motion doesnt happen, the alarm will not be triggered. This can further be assured by adjusting the Motion Sensitivity feature provided in the app. The user can vary it according to their use case. This feature is helpful in general use cases when the user keeps phone next to himself/herself and have been using the phone and eventually got slept. In such cases due to PTA app running in background ensures that if an intruder tries to touch the phone, alarm will raise.3. PIN based STOPIt may happen that the intruder after touching the phone tries to STOP the alarm by pressing the button. To handle this PTA provide a secret PIN based stopping feature. In this, the owner can set a default PIN, which needs to be entered for stopping the alarm.4. Automatic Raising of VolumeIt may happen that the intruder after touching the phone is surprised by the siren sound alert. The intruder may try to lower the volume of phone. The PTA app comes with Automatic Volume raising feature. Through this, the alert sound is played at Maximum level, and it cant be lowered till the alarm is not stopped. The intruder simply cannot lower the volume by using volume keys.5. Motion SensitivityIn the PTA app, the user can control the amount of motion that is required for triggering the alarm. As there are a variety of phones and its accelerometers are of different manufacturer and make. The default values of these sensors may vary in quality and accuracy. So, PTA provides option to set a range for the motion which can be set for triggering the alarm.6. Different Sound OptionsIn the PTA app, there are different kind of alert sounds. The user can choose the one according to his/her like, and which easily catches their attention. The selected sound will be played each time the alarm triggers.
